Shirley’s journey covers that of being a Mum, successful business woman, holding down a job and much more. Shirley has considerable success with juggling and managing the balance between all of the roles that she chooses to take on.
Part of her journey began in 2013, when Shirley had her second child, led a once-in-50-year change to criminal prosecution processes, and was runner-up in New Zealand Project Manager of the Year. She is currently providing service design advice and oversight for a $19.6m investment fund at Te Puni Kokiri for the Maori Housing Network.
Shirley, like other women, is constantly handling the pressure and demands of life, work and play. Using yoga and mindfulness to de-stress, unwind, and relax, she has become more focused, productive, confident and effective in all of her roles.

About Shirley McLeod

In 2015 she completed yoga teacher training, and now uses social media to encourage and inspire others to give yoga a go – whether that’s for fitness, flexibility, stress management, relaxation, mindfulness or just because you want a reason to wear comfy yoga pants all day.
In 2017 Shirley trained as a teacher of Mindfulness Based Stillness Meditation under the guidance of Paul Bedson, immediate past President of the Meditation Association of Australia. With her training, Shirley delivers corporate mindfulness programmes and retreats for professional women.
