The Kapiti Chamber invite you to attend the first BA5 of 2019. This BA5 will operate differently to usual as you will be hosted by Kapiti Chamber with a Business Briefing on important economic and business matters in Kapiti.

The line-up for the Business Briefing will include:

A close-up look at the Economic Development Refresh. May Guise, a Senior Consultant of Allen + Clarke will present this part of the Briefing.

May’s professional background is in strategic policy development and advice, mainly in health and human services. She has worked in policy environments in and around government in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and Europe. Prior to joining Allen + Clarke, May held a senior executive role with the New South Wales public service, leading health funding negotiations. She is motivated to be creative and bring ideas to life in meeting today’s and tomorrow’s complex policy challenges, with the aim of cultivating positive change in her community.

May’s session will be followed by an update from Morag Taimalietane, Principal Policy Advisor at KCDC and key contact for the Provincial Growth Fund in Kapiti.

Another key project, being the Kapiti Story, will be updated by Sam Feld of KCDC and there will be a wrap by the Kapiti Chamber as Hosts’ of the Briefing.

There will be drinks & nibbles and opportunity to network before and after the Briefing.

Note your calendar to be at this Briefing as it will update on significant economic development projects taking place in Kapiti at this time. Q&A will be an important component of the Briefing so come with an open mind and your questions to maximise value in attending.
