The Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce (KCCC) is a community focused Not for Profit Organisation promoting a growing Kapiti business region to create wealth and employment. It serves members with a collective voice, membership events, national retail discounts, and business orientated education and training.

The KCCC Board has been reviewing its resources, and is seeking a Business Development Manager to be responsible for building and managing the membership; promoting the Chamber brand through communications with members and the community; and co-ordinating the day-to-day KCCC administration.

This is an independent Contractor position with an initial term of 1 year, working 64 hours per month. The hours worked within the working week are flexible based around the Chamber’s needs, and the successful candidate will be or become a KCCC member. This is fabulous opportunity for someone who wants to work part-time, is self-motivated, organised, people orientated and has a passion for promoting and supporting local business within the Kapiti Coast.

The key objectives for this position are to:

  1. Promote a positive, professional image of KCCC through liaison with current and prospective members and by managing the website and monthly online business community newsletter.
  2. Build the membership and revenue for the Kapiti Chamber of Commerce.
  3. Manage the administration tasks associated with the running of the Chamber office within the proposed hours.
