Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce – Expressions of Interest (EoI)

Membership and Events Management

Kapiti Coast Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) is looking for Expressions of Interest from individuals or agencies with the appropriate expertise to manage its growing membership and successful programme of business events.

The Chamber is open to the function of Membership and Events Management being managed by an individual or an agency operating as the Membership & Events Officer.

The Membership and Events Officer works closely with the Partnership Officer and the Membership, Partnership and Events committee of the Board. The role will report to the GM Operations and the Officer is required to work effectively with other contractors.

Our membership has been growing steadily over recent years. The Membership and Events Officer will be responsible for the maintenance of the membership database, responding to member enquiries, follow-up on non-members attending Chamber events and seek innovative ways to promote and grow our membership.

Event Management and Promotion: The Chamber has a busy events programme and is known for its high-quality events connecting business people from Porirua to Horowhenua. The Membership and Events Officer will work with the Membership, Partnership and Events Committee to source Businesses to host BA5s, organise Learning and Development workshops and work with Women in Business and Manaaki to host events.

A large part of our communication is through social media, website and newsletters. The Membership and Events Officer will need to manage the content on these platforms as well as the associated databases and be involved in media relations in conjunction with the Chair of the Chamber and the Chambers Public Relations and Communications contractor.

We are open to how this role might be managed, we are supporters of flexible working. Our monthly budget for this function is up to $1600 per month.

Please submit your Expressions of Interest outlining how you propose to carry out these duties and bring some fresh thinking to the Chamber team.
